Friday, December 10th: Our last day with college students for the fall & Art exhibit opening!

On our last day of the semester with the Bryn Mawr and Haverford students we played a rousing game of "big booty," of course!

Then we got in small groups and generated list of things we had learned in and outside of class throughout the semester.

Each pair or group came up with great and varied lists, which I will post here soon.

Then, either collaborative or individually, everyone worked to visually represent one learning that they are taking away from the semester. The visuals came out wonderfully.

They will be scanned and posted soon.

After class was the opening of the 360 courses Art Exhibit, which featured work from the SSB class. The portraits, equations, and statements from the Parkway students are quite powerful.

Lynnia, Aaron, Sharaya, and Ramire came to Bryn Mawr College for the art opening. Scroll down to see images from the art opening.

Classic Dorian.

Elly and Luis.
Ramire and Rachel made an awesome team, producing a compelling visual that incorporated technology....

Dynamic duo!

Brie posing with the wall...Myiesha, did you take these?
Lynnia and Liz for their 'candid' work shot.
Nadine!
Dorian and Elly illustrated working together inter-racially through their image of hot chocolate with whip cream...too much!
And Jomi says she's not an artist?
Shleby, with a cookie, of course.
Sarah, turq, Jomi, and Dom--acting crazy!

Nadine, Britney M, and Brenna's visuals.

Brie's visual was about embracing being different.

Final Exhibit Opening:

There was a great turn out at the art opening to celebrate the culmination of the semester.
Everyone who attended was able to interact with the pieces by responding to them using sticky notes.

The Parkway students are naturals at that, and we used Ramire's height to help us comment on the tallest images.

Dorian's portrait and someones response.

Apparently Ramire and Aaron think that the girl in this photo from back in the day looks like Zanny.
 Not true.

Lynnia and Sharaya found a spot to sit and eat their food!

Tash was there, and wearing her t-shirt from the Block Party!!
